Top wine tasting: ASC World Wine Tour
ASC World Wine Tour: 130 wines from 20 renowned wineries from around the world.
Started the tasting with some fine white such as:
- Louis Jadot Bourgogne Chardonnay AOC
- Trimbach Riesling Alsace AOC
- Trimbach Riesling Cuvée Frédéric Émile Riesling Alsace AOC
- Trimbach Gewurztraminer Alsace AOC
Then moved to top Italian reds, such as:
- AloisLageder Pinot Noir Alto Adige DOC 2013
- Michele Chiarlo Tortoniano Barolo Riserva DOCG 2009
- Banfi Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2011 (super rich and well balanced, the king of my tasting)
- Masi Costasera Amarone Riserva DOC 2009
Finished with 4 different Ports from Taylor and Fonseca, from aged Tawny to Late Bottled Vintage.

Introduction to the World of Wine course
Shanghai, September 3 and 4, 2016 - Italian Sommelier Association - club Shanghai held the first Introduction to the World of Wine seminar in Shanghai. The 2-days, 10-hours seminar was taught in English to an international group of 17 wine enthusiasts (from China, Italy, Philippines, Brazil) and included 4 lessons and 16 different wines.

Chinese wine consumers are rising
Chinese imported wine market is developing and changing. The major consumers have transferred from “Prestige-seeking Traditionalists” to normal consumers who are younger, less interactive, willing to buy entry level wines. The newly emerging consumers drink wines more often than traditional consumers, expecting to seek cost-effective wines.

OperaWine 2016 showcases Top 100 Italian wineries
At Vinitaly, Italy’s largest wine fair, more than 4,000 producers will present their wines to thousands of trade members and consumers from April 10 to 13 in Verona, as the event celebrates its 50th anniversary.
OperaWine is a microcosm, or distillation, of Vinitaly, presenting 100 Italian wine producers selected by Wine Spectator for their high quality, historical significance and regional prominence.

Shanghai, Gambero Rosso TRE BICCHIERI 2015
Tre Bicchieri World Tour is a roadshow dedicated exclusively to wines awarded with the “Three Glasses” (Tre Bicchieri), the most prestigious award for Italian wines.
The Tre Bicchieri World Tour came in Shanghai, the Chinese financial capital, on November 2nd, providing an unique opportunity for professionals and wine lovers, to meet personally the winemakers. The event attracted, as usual, more than 1200 guests, who tasted the very best of Italian wines presented by more than 100 producers.
The new Chinese edition of the Italian Wine Guide (Vini d’Italia) will also be presented. The most widely read and authoritative in the world, Italian Wine Guide 2015 includes reviews and notes on 2402 wineries, over 20000 wines of which 423 labels have been awarded “Tre Bicchieri“.

Harvest 2015: Italy 1st wine producer worldwide

“Italy is still the home of wine, once again becoming the worldwide leader in the production … In 2014 17% of bottles of wines sold in the world were Italians, 28% of the bottles sold in Europe”, said Mr. Martina, Italian Minister of Agricultural Policies
