Italian wine positioning
“Italy and France share the leadership of the world wine exports in 2014, with a significant difference: Italy leads in export volumes (20.5 against 14.7 million hl of France); France in revenues (7.94 billion € against 5.11 billion € of Italy). LIDL, Primitivo and Negroamaro below 2 € are not poisonous
Primitivo del Salento IGT (2014, 14% alcohol) and Negroamaro del Salento IGT (2014, 13% alcohol) are both private labels for the supermarket chain LIDL, and both priced below 2 € on the shelves.
They are not fine wines but with surprise they are not poisonous wines as well.
